The name is Jessica Drew. I hail from London. I've made some mistakes, but I now make it my job to do something right with my life.

"I don’t regret a lot of things," he shrugged, "It’s all a learning experience in the end."

Jess looked at him and said, “you honestly have no issue doing this with me?”

A little surprised at her confession, he nodded and kept his silence as he listened and took it in. Her points were understandable - he knew how the industry worked and its inclination towards those of the male gender was something he had noticed. Though, there was a few things that surprised him a little more. “If I’m going to be honest, I’m not sure what you mean be others saying things about you. I tend to not associate myself with others, so that’s lost with me,” he said after a moment. “And this mission can’t be done without the two of us. You’re teaching me something.”

Jess looked to Ward and said, “I hope you don’t end up regretting that.”

"Naturally." Marc replied with the faintest of smirks on the corner of his lips hiding it by taking another drink. "God knows what it’ll be this time. But judging by the fact no one wants to talk about it means it’s something big and something bad. But you know me…Not one to really get involved in those things." Or you could say never invited.

"I’m not really one anymore that gets involvedeither.” Jess said, his tone not going unnoticed by her. “Well, they don’t know what they’re missing I say.”

"Something happened? Last I recalled you..Were an Avenger? Weren’t you? Or have I been in my cave too long?" He questioned genuinely unsure. He’d never made an effort to keep up with most of the other Heroes in the first place there were too many of them these days for him. "I don’t think they miss me. I’m crazy, apparently, not that I doubt them." He set his drink down for the time being and turned his attention briefly to the rest of the building.

"Yeah bottom of the list Avenger," Jess chuckled and sighed. "They have zero use for me it feels like gives me a lot of free time to do nothing." Taking a drink of beer, Jess said with a smile, "I’ve missed you Marc."

He looked up, shaking his head, “I’m alright, but thanks for the offer.”

"Sure," Jess said, not sure what to do with herself now, walking over to a crate she sat down and started checking her own equipment, trying not to pay attention to him.

Looking up at her every now and again, he sighed and moved over to sit down next to her.

"I’m sorry I over reacted. It’s just…you guys don’t know what it’s like, being female and having to fight for your right to prove yourself." Jess said, not looking him in the eye, "I know I’m good, great even, I’ve hard what you’ve said to others about me and I know you don’t want to be on the mission with me, and honestly I don’t blame you. With your record I know you work better alone. So if you’d rather do it on your own, great if not I promise I won’t get in your way okay?"

Jess looked at him for a moment before saying, “yea come to my office.” Returning to her office she waited for Hank to come into it before she shut the door behind him and pressed the button to engage the jammer before she spoke, “jammer, it blocks any and all tech that someone could use to spy on our conversation.” Folding her arms she asked, “what’s this about?”

Hank paused for a second.  She didn’t seem in a very receptive mood.  Perhaps he should have called her before coming.  But since he was there, he might as well get on with it.

"I need your help.  Well, to be more accurate, Dr. Banner needs your help."

"Bruce? Why?" Jess asked him in concern. "Why didn’t he come himself he knows I can be trusted."

Get the fuck away from me you bitch.

That is no way to speak to your darling mother. I thought we bonded?

You’re not my mother.

Marc nodded and turned to take a better look around the pub now they were seated. “Not a bad place..” He muttered turning back to Jess just as their drinks were brought. “Thank you but you don’t have to worry about me. I’m all better. Physically anyway.”

"I always worry about my friends, Marc," she smiled and took a drink of her beer. "You should know that."

Marc smiled back and nodded a thank you to her as he picked up his glass and took a drink of it. “Mm. So, we’ve spoken about me but what about you?” He asked. “How have you been?”

"A bit bored really," Jess said, taking a drink of her beer, "it’s been unusually quiet which we all know means something catastrophic is bound to happen soon but no one seems to be wanting to talk about it."

When she heard that Hank Pym was looking for her, Jessica was very confused as to why this was happening. Getting up from her desk she poked her head out and saw him looking around for her, “Pym! Down here!”

Hank turned his head around to find out where the voice was coming from and saw Jessica.  He headed her way.

"Hey.  Sorry to bother you, but I have something important to talk to you about…"

He looked around.  This was not the best setting.  Maybe he should have called her to ask her to come to the mansion, but then again he was the one seeking her help.  It was only natural that he’d be the one making the visit.

"Listen, is there some place we could talk…  privately.  It’s not SHIELD business, if you get my drift."
